Hey, It’s Monica!
MY FITNESS JOURNEY
I’ve played sports all my life. I was a three sport athlete in high school, playing volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, and soccer in the spring. Volleyball would then follow me through college too. After graduating college and finishing my career in volleyball, I quickly was married and expecting a little one. I struggled to figure out how to balance life without athletics and fitness during pregnancy. Then, after giving birth to my son, I entered a new realm of postpartum fitness. The picture above is me 11 months after having my son, finally starting to get my body back after a lot of patience and a lot of hard work. After some trial and error, I’ve found exercises that work and ways to work out with a baby in tow. I’ve found out what works and what doesn’t work when working out with a baby around. My goal with this page is to streamline the process for you, help you get your body back after birth, help you prioritize your health, and remind you to have patience with yourself on the journey. I truly didn’t think it would ever be possible to get back in shape and get my body back, but it is SO possible if you are willing to put in the time. You can do it too, mama! I believe in you!
