Affordable Nursing Bras
What is a nursing bra?
A nursing bra is a bra with cups that clip down, fold down, or pull to the side for easy access for breastfeeding. While you definitely can wear a normal bra to breastfeed, it’s not nearly as easy to feed your baby quickly and you may risk clogged ducts wherever you bunch the bra up when you pull it to the side. I highly recommend giving one of these affordable nursing bras a try to see how much easier it really is.
Should I also get a pumping bra?
While some bras are marketed specifically for pumping, truly any nursing bra can become a pumping bra with this super simple hack. So, definitely don’t pay more for a pumping bra. Any one of these nursing bras can do both if you learn how to use nursing bra for pumping.
Having breastfed my first baby exclusively for six months and supplemental for another six months and now breastfeeding my second baby, I can safely say I’ve seen my fair share nursing bras. These are the affordable nursing bras that I’ve found along the way and how they stacked up against one another.
8. Suekaphin Nursing Bra 5 Pack
Pros: Soft, comfortable, deep “v” is great for “v” neck shirts
Cons: lighter colors are slightly see through
I tried these Suekaphin bras after I saw another mom influencer promoted them on her Instagram. While they are insanely soft and I like the deep “v” cup of them, I was not a fan of how thin the fabric was. I could see the pads inside the lighter colored bras so I personally ended up returning them.
Price at publication: $40.99 for pack of 5
7. Momcozy Seamless Nursing Bra
Pros: Silky fabric, extra extension clasps for wearable breast pumps, deep “v” for shirts, good color choices
Cons: Bunching on the sides, tight band at the bottom is more rigid than the rest of the bra
I absolutely love the silk like fabric on this Momcozy Seamless Bra, but the fabric on the sides seemed to bunch up quickly because the band at the bottom was very stiff. The extra extension clasps that it comes with are great for anyone who uses a wearable breast pump.
Price at publication: $29.99
6. Stelle Nursing Bras
Pros: very affordable and comfortable
Cons: not very supportive, they seem to wear quickly
These Stelle Nursing Bras were some of the first nursing bras I ever purchased. While they are super comfortable, they don’t provide much support at all and aren’t very smooth under clothing. The very soft fabric also seemed to wear and become rough as time went on.
I ended up having to get rid of them all and wasn’t able to keep any for my next baby. So, they are a good cheap short term solution if you are just using them around the house.
Price at publication: $20.29 (for a pack of 2)
5. Kindred Bravely Sublime Nursing Bra
Pros: wide band for comfort, very supportive
Cons: bunches up with pregnancy belly
The Kindred Bravely Sublime Nursing Bra is a Mom’s Choice Awards Gold Winner. The material is incredible and they also offer free return shipping for 90 days if you don’t like it. I personally don’t find the band underneath comfortable during pregnancy but the wide band is great for everyday wear postpartum. You can also grab 15% off with my affiliate code, MonicaB15. If you need it fast, it’s also available on Amazon here with two day shipping.
Price at publication: $46.00 ($39.1- with my %15 off code!)
4. Adidas Nursing Sports Bra
Pro: one of the most supportive nursing sports bras I’ve ever purchased
Con: no padding, strange sizing system
It seems my baby always wants to eat the moment I finish my workout. I had a hard time finding nursing sports bras with my first baby and this Adidas Nursing Sports Bra is a total game changer with my second. However, this bra does not have any padding so if you prefer sports bras with padding then this one is a no go.
Price at publication: $40.85 (however they seem to go on sale depending on size cause I got mine for $12!)
3. Auden Seamless Nursing Bra
Pros: high sides for comfort, great color options, ability to change strap configuration
Cons: fabric wears quickly
The Auden Seamless Nursing Bra from Target has been one of my favorites for a long time. It has the ability to have a normal bra back or crisscross straps. The only thing that disappointed me about this bra was the way the fabric wore. It seemed to get rough and started pilling after being washed a lot. (which is kind of the nature of a nursing bra)
Price at publication: $16.99
2. Kindred Bravely French Terry Racerback Sleep Bra
Pros: very supportive but very thin and light
Cons: shows leaks quickly if you aren’t wearing breast pads or milk collection cups
I have the French Terry Racerback Sleep Bra in the twilight color and I’m absolutely obsessed with it. They may call it a sleep bra but I wear this one all day long and out of the house too. It is super thin and light but also very supportive with the crossover design. Use my code MonicaB15 for 15% off too!
Price at publication: $36.00 ($30.60 with my 15% off code!)
1. Hofish
Pros: great color options, supportive, comes with extenders and clips to change strap configuration, hold up well to washing
Cons: a little high cut for “v” cut shirts
These Hofish Nursing Bras are the nursing bras I currently live in and the best nursing bras I own! There is nothing better than finding a product you love at one of the lowest prices on the market. At around 10 dollars a bra, you truly can’t beat the price on these Hofish nursing bras and they definitely don’t feel like a $10 bra either! The only thing that would make them better is if they were a little lower cut for “v” neck shirts.
Price at publication: $29.99 for a pack of 3
This post is all about helping you find quality affordable nursing bras. I’ve tried plenty and I’ve finally found a few that I love. I hope you love them too and they help you stay comfortable every day of your chaotic but beautiful mom life.
