Which Built In Toddler Toilet Seat Do We Have?
We have owned the Mayfair Little2Big toddler toilet seat for over a year now. It was a potty training life saver and I will definitely be using it again to potty train my daughter. It also comes in both round and elongated styles to fit whichever style toilet you already have.
Why the Little2Big Built In Toddler Toilet Seat?
1. You'll actually remember to clean it
Having a built-in potty seat rather than a separate potty seat makes it a whole lot easier to remember to clean. It naturally gets cleaned every time you’re cleaning your own toilet and therefore it stays a whole lot cleaner than the ones that get forgotten in the corner.
2. They are amazing to transition off a mini potty
I absolutely love using the Summer Infant Mini Potty to get my kids comfortable around the concept of potty training at first. It’s very approachable to start with and made potty training fun for them! But, using a mini potty meant that I also had to find a way to transition my kids to the regular toilet later on. I’ve heard so many stories of people struggling with this transition but using our built in potty seat made the transition to our full size toilet way easier and way more approachable! The seat made him feel like a big kid while also giving him something special that was just for him.
3. It doesn't take up any space
A kid product that doesn’t take up any space whatsoever is nothing short of magical in my mind. As a mom of two in a two bedroom apartment, I value every square inch of space. So, not having to store one of those clunky toddler potty seats in my bathroom is a huge perk.
4. I hardly even notice it’s there
One of my favorite things about this built in toddler toilet seat is that it automatically lifts up with the toilet seat. So, the adults in the house and guests won’t have to move the toddler seat out of the way.
5. It won’t slam or pinch fingers
This built in potty seat has a soft close feature on both seats, as well as the lid. So, you won’t constantly have your toddler slamming it and fingers will be kept safe.
6. It doesn’t shift around when they wiggle
Even though toddlers are wigglers by nature, most potty seats don’t seem ready for that fact. Many of the potty seats on the market move around a lot and it can make the littles ones new to potty training feel more nervous about the process. Since the built in potty seat is installed and attached to the actual toilet, it won’t move around on them during their sometimes extensive potty hang outs.
7. Great for grandparents houses
If you visit grandparents or aunts/uncles frequently, it can get annoying to haul a potty seat back and forth with you. And since most grandparents will do just about anything to have more visits from their grandkids, they are probably more than happy to install or let you install one of these built-in potty seats at their home too.
Since the toddler seat lifts up with the lid automatically, they won’t even notice it’s there. But it will make your life way easier when you visit.
8. The small seat is removable later on
One of my favorite features of this seat is that the toddler seat can be removed later on when your toddler doesn’t need it anymore. Then, you can just put it back in if you have more kids to potty train them later on.
9. Makes transitioning to the big seat easier
Even though the cushioned potty seats themed after their favorite show are fun in the beginning, they end up making the transition to the regular toilet a whole lot harder. It makes sense too. They are being asked to give up a fun cushioned toilet seat for a plain white seat that has no cushioning what so ever.
Having the built-in potty seat means that their little seat is literally just a small version of the real thing, making it a whole lot easier for them to give up when it’s time.
This post was all about the many reasons I love our built-in toddler toilet seat. I hope you love it as much as we do and that it makes potty training a whole lot less stressful.
